Nirvair hissed in pain as the doctor cleaned the wound as he was dressing it.

"I asked you not to fire!"Ram sir said as he barged into the medical room of their office and Nirvair got up to see him.

Ram sir gestured for him to keep sitting as the doctor was doing the dressing.

"Sir they started it first,meine sirf self defence ke liye shoot kiya tha"Nirvair said.

"Tumhe unhe zinda pakadne ko kaha tha"Ram sir said.

"They both are alive sir"Nirvair said.

"Both are unconscious!we can't wait till they get their consciousness!I wanted to interrogate them asap!"Ram sir said and Nirvair didn't say anything.

"Get dressed and leave!you are suspended!"Ram sir said making Nirvair look up at him.

But he didn't say anything in his defence and just nodded his head at that.

Ram sir left and Nirvair sighed.

"Sir thode gusse mein h aajkal,upar se bht pressure h unke upar"The doctor who was dressing his wound said.

"Yeh painkillers h,3 din ke liye hi leni h bas,and please try not to put much pressure on your shoulder,it needs rest"The doctor said and Nirvair nodded at him.

The doctor helped him wear the shirt and Nirvair left from there.

Ali and Kartik were waiting for him in the cafeteria of the office.

"Ab kesa h?"Ali asked.

"Kuch nhi yaar bullet sirf chuke nikli thi!usmein bhi mujhe suspend kr diya!"Nirvair said not liking the way his boss suspended him for a lil mistake.

"Sir thode gusse mein h aajkal"Kartik said.

"Saala mein kya karu phir!ek toh unn dono suspects ko zinda lekr aaya hu!ab self defence ke liye toh shoot krna hi padega na mujhe?"Nirvair said but they both asked him to let it go.

"Chod isse...chal mein tujhe ghar chod deta hu,tujhe bike nhi chalani chahiye ab, shoulder pr pressure padega"Ali said and Nirvair nodded at that because he wanted this wound to heal as quickly as possible.

"Raaste se naya shirt bhi lena padega,iss wale pe bloodstains h"Nirvair said and Ali nodded.

Ali took his bike and Nirvair sat behind him,Kartik left on his bike because he had a wife who was waiting for him at his home.

Firstly they stopped at a mall where Nirvair purchased a white shirt,changed into it and then discarded his blood stained white shirt there itself and wore his black jacket.

"Ruk na zara,Iti ke liye ek badi si doll leni thi,usne kab se kaha tha mujhse"Nirvair said as he spotted the toy shop and remembered his lil niece.

"Chal lete h"Ali said.

They entered the shop and got confused as to what they should get.

"Abe yrr lena kya h tujhe?"Ali asked.

"Usne doll kaha tha"Nirvair said.

They asked a helper and went into the doll section.After selecting the biggest doll they went towards the billing counter but Nirvair's eyes landed on some cute water bottles.

He purchased a princess print water bottle because Iti loved anything related to the princess.

Once they did the billing they both left and Ali rode towards Sehgal Mansion.

"Aaja, khana khaa le aur yahi so jaa aaj ke liye,tujhe late ho jayega tere ghar pochte pochte"Nirvair suggested and Ali instantly agreed with him.

They entered inside and they were on time because it was just 7pm so dinner hadn't happened till now.

"Itudi!"Nirvair said as he showed the giant doll he had purchased for her.

Iti smiled seeing it and ran towards him but then frowned.

"Kya hua?acchi nhi lagi?"Nirvair asked.

"Bht acchi h,pr badi maa hamare liye doll lekr aa gayi h!"Iti said making Nirvair frown.

"Aapne toh mujhe kaha tha na?phir usse kyu kaha?"Nirvair asked.

"Bhabhi ko pehle keh diya tha inhone aur ek hafte pehle bhabhi inke liye doll le bhi aayi h"Hriday said making Nirvair narrow his eyes at her.

"Acha ab tu badi maa ki team mein chali gayi h?"Nirvair asked her to which Iti shook her head in denial.

"Sahi h beta,jaa ussi ke paas,mein yeh kisi aur ko de dunga"Nirvair said teasing her to which Iti narrowed her eyes at him.

"Hum dadu se complain karenge aapki!"Iti said.

"Tere dadu se darta nhi hu mein"Nirvair teased her further.

"Badi maa,buddy bad ho gaye h"Iti said looking at her badi maa who sat on the sofa.

"Mujhe pata h,yeh aise hi h bad kahi ke"Badi maa said making Iti nod her head at that.

And Nirvair opened his mouth wide in surprise.

Iti wasn't defending him!

Why?

"Itudi mein mazak kr raha tha,aaja tere liye hi h yeh doll"Nirvair said as he sat on the sofa in front of her but Iti shook her head in denial.

"Aap bad h!badi maa acchi h"Iti said making everyone hoot and Iknoor smirked looking at Nirvair who hadn't expected that at all.

"Tum isse mere against instigate kr rahi ho!"Nirvair said dramatically.

"Mere paas itna bhi faltu time nhi h tumhari tarah!"Iknoor said and everyone laughed hearing that.

"Ab dekh teri badi maa mujhe jo pareshan kr rahi h?"Nirvair said looking at Iti who didn't say anything.

"Oh my god!kesi dal badalu h yaar yeh!"Nirvair said to Ali who too laughed at his misery.

"Dekh lunga tujhe Itudi!ab aana mere paas khelne!"Nirvair said and Iti looked at Iknoor.

"Koi nhi,hum dono khel lenge Iti,wese bhi aapke saath khelne ke liye aapke buddy ko ghar pr bhi toh hona padega na!"Iknoor said and Abeer Shivansh and Aashi laughed hearing that.

That was so on point!

"Bhabhi full fire h!"Abeer said.

"Kal se ghar pr hi hu mein!"Nirvair said.

"Kyu job se nikal diya tumhe?"Iknoor asked as she was having fun teasing him.

"Chutti h meri!"Nirvair said glaring at her and she laughed at his expressions.

"Yrr bhabhi aap sahi ho ekdam!"Ali said enjoying his friend getting roasted by his wife.

"Mein jaa raha hu freshen up hone!tu bhi jaa!"Nirvair said to Ali who laughed but nodded.

"Mein bhi freshen up hokr aata hu uncle,aaj raat yahi rukunga"Ali said looking at Mahir who was amused hearing that.

"Haa beta tera hi ghar h"Mahir said sarcastically and Ali nodded at that seriously and left.

"Chalo Iti aap betho yaha pr mein kitchen mein jaa rahi hu okay?"Iknoor said and Iti nodded.

Iknoor left towards the kitchen to do her one job,that was making roti's.

"Aunty,woh Nirvair ka friend bhi aaya h,night stay krne wale h woh"Iknoor said and Bela understood it was Ali.

"Haa aata hi rehta h woh yaha"Bela said because the family was used to his presence now.

They all had a nice dinner and then everyone went into their respective rooms.

Nirvair entered his bedroom and found Iti laughing with Iknoor over something,his mood turned sour seeing them.

"Itudi,papa bula rahe h tere jaa"Nirvair said but Iti shook her head at that.

"Hume badi maa ke saath sona h aaj"Iti said making Nirvair widen his eyes in surprise.

"Itni kese dosti ho gayi tum dono ki bhai?"Nirvair couldn't help but ask.

They didn't answer his question though and continued talking to each other.

"Acha yeh lo"Nirvair said as he forgot to give her the water bottle he had got for her.

Iti looked at it and smiled widely seeing that.

A princess water bottle.

She immediately threw her lil arms around her buddy hugging him tightly and thanking him repeatedly for it.

Nirvair chuckled at her antics but smirked at Iknoor who rolled her eyes at him.

"Ab buddy bad nhi h?"Nirvair teased her as he tickled her lil body and Iti burst into giggles making him laugh too.

"Nhi..aap best h!"Iti said and Nirvair and Iknoor smiled at her.

A knock on the door disturbed their moment and Nirvair asked whoever was to get inside.

"Woh Nirvair bhai,Iti ke sone ka time ho gaya h"Aayat said as she found her lil girl in her brother in law's room.

"Mumma hame badi maa ke saath sona h aaj"Iti said looking at her mumma who smiled hearing that.

"Ha thik h aap so jaiyega apni badi maa ke paas pr pehele chaliye aapko nahana bhi h aur brush bhi krna h"Aayat said and Iti nodded because she loved getting into the bath tub as her mother let her play with the soap bubbles.

"Badi maa hum nahakr aate h"Iti said and Iknoor nodded.

"Hum inhe inke hi room mein sula denge bhabhi"Aayat said making Iknoor frown at that.

Why?

"Kyu??mujhe chalega agar Iti yaha soyegi toh,wese bhi uska bht mann h Aayat, please isse yahi sone do aaj"Iknoor said because of course she wasn't Iti's mother so she couldn't decide.

Aayat had thought that Iti might disturb the newly married couple or Iknoor might have inconvenience because of her but hearing that she didn't have any problem with her sleeping in their room Aayat smiled at her.

"Thik h,toh hum inhe jaldi se nehlakr aapke paas lekr aate h"Aayat said and Iknoor smiled and nodded at her.

Iknoor also quickly did her night care routine and till the Iti was back.

"Bhabhi aapko inhe bedtime story sunani padegi,Iti ko uske bina neend nhi aati h....agar aapko nhi aati...

"Mujhe aati h story sunana,tum chinta mat karo I can take care of a toddler!"Iknoor said to Hriday who nodded then,he couldn't help but always give instructions to people regarding her daughter.

"Aaja Itudi!"Nirvair said as he spread his arms wide and Iti laughed and ran towards him jumping in his arms.

"Upar!"Iti demanded as she wanted to be thrown in the air as her Shivansh chachu does with her.

Nirvair smiled and threw her in the air before catching her.He didn't realised his shoulder was injured and he hissed as a sharp wave of pain ran through it.

Iknoor didn't missed it though and she frowned as she saw his face crumble in pain for a moment before he quickly masked it away again smiling at Iti.

"Wapas!"Iti said and seeing her expectant eyes he couldn't deny her and again threw her in the air before catching her and again he hissed in pain.

He shouldn't have done that.

It pained a lot.

But he again masked it off but Iknoor had seen it again clearly,she was sure something was wrong with him.

"Aao Iti aapko story sunati hu"Iknoor said and Iti nodded and laid down on the bed beside Iknoor.

"Buddy,yaha aaiye,badi maa story suna rahi h"Iti said patting the space on her left side  which was empty.

Nirvair looked at Iknoor who didn't say anything.

"Buddy aaiye na!"Iti again said and this time Iknoor gestured him to occupy the other side.

He nodded and did as asked.

"Thik h konsi story sunni h aapko?"Iknoor asked.

"Rapunzel wali!"Iti said in a heartbeat making Iknoor chuckle.

She had an unhealthy obsession with Rapunzel!

Iknoor began narrating her the story and in the mid story Iti fell asleep,she always falls asleep quickly after having a refreshing bath before bed.

Nirvair got up from the bed after covering Iti with the blanket and even keeping a pillow on the other side just to make sure she doesn't falls off and hurts herself.

"Tumhe kya hua h?"Iknoor asked him making him confused.

"Mujhe kya hua h?"He asked instead.

"Tum dard mein the,jab tum Iti ko uchal rahe the"Iknoor said without beating around the bush.

"Mein?dard mein?"Nirvair said trying to play it off but Iknoor was sure she had heard him hiss in pain and also saw the look of pain on his face.

"Kabhi toh sach bol diya karo!"Iknoor said.

"Mujhe kuch nhi hua h,I don't know tum kya bol rahe ho"Nirvair said.

"Nirvair, jooth mat bolo meine dekha tha ki tumhe dard hua tha,are you hurt somewhere?"She asked and he sighed but still tried to deny.

"Mein hi pagal hu!mujhe kyu bataoge tum,I am the unwanted wife after all!"Iknoor said rudely making him close his eyes as he heard her words.

Unwanted wife!

She wasn't that!

"Apne liye yeh sab bolna band karo"Nirvair said.

"Mujhe tumse baat hi nhi krni chahiye,I expected ki atleast tum mujhe bataoge,but meine galat expect kiya tumse!"Iknoor said.

"Mere shoulder pr thodi si chod lag gayi thi aaj,woh ek iron rod ek dewar se bahar nikla hua tha office mein,meine dhyan nhi diya toh lag gayi"Nirvair said just to stop her from spewing such nonsense.

"Kese? couldn't you be careful?iron rod lag gaya?tumne disinfectant lagaya tha?infection bhi ho sakta h usse aur wound aur gehra ho sakta h,dikhao mujhe!"Iknoor said all at once as she went into her doctor mode.

"Kuch nhi hua h,halka sa laga h bas,aur meine doctor se dressing krwa li thi"Nirvair said.

"Ek baar mujhe dikhao phir bhi,agar bleeding waghera zyada ho rahi hogi toh?tumhe kuch medicine di h kya?pain ho raha h abhi bhi?"Iknoor again asked all at once.

"It's okay now"Nirvair said not answering to any of her questions.

"Batao toh mujhe ek baar"Iknoor said not being able to convince herself that the injury had been taken care of by someone,she wanted to herself see it.

"Aree choti si hi chot h, doctor ne dressing kr di h"Nirvair said as he got up from the bed and walked towards the wardrobe to get the spare mattress and pillow for him to sleep.

"Tum bed pr so jao"Iknoor said making him turn and look at her.

"Tumhe chot lagi h na,zameen pr uncomfortable hoga aur shayad pain badh sakta h,tumhe zyada pressure bhi nhi lagana chahiye wound pr"Iknoor said.

"It's okay,Iknoor,kuch nhi hua h"Nirvair said.

"Tum kabhi meri baat maan nhi sakte kya?meine kaha na bed pr so jao!"Iknoor said and he again tried to protest but she glared at him making him sigh.

Anyways Iti was sleeping between them so ti wouldn't be awkward at all.

Nirvair slept on the left side and Iknoor took the right side,Iti was sleeping in between them.

Iknoor turned off the light as she got into the bed.

"Tumhe pain ho raha h kya?mein ek baar dekh lungi wound toh pain killer de sakti hu"Iknoor said through the darkness.

"Doctor ne de di h painkiller,now please sleep it's nothing"Nirvair said and Iknoor sighed deeply at that.

She closed her eyes and couldn't help the thoughts that knocked her brain.

She sighed.

The more she tried to stay away from him,ignore him,the more pull she feels towards him.

She can't ignore him ever!

He suffers one injury and she has forgotten what they had argued yesterday upon!

She had herself told him that things can never be normal between t

hem and that they are just pretending for their respective families.

But she wasn't!

No matter what,she can't pretend when Nirvair is with her,her true emotions always comes out in any form,be it her anger,sarcastic comments,pain or even her care.

Everything was true when it was for him.
