The Sehgal ladies were all out shopping with Hriday,Shivansh and Abeer tailing behind them holding all the bags and even managing Iti.

Well because it was the first wedding in the house,that too of the eldest son who wasn't ready to get married any time soon,the family was filled with a fun spirit, especially the ladies.

They had begun shopping 2 months ago but now the main things were left,i,e the bride and groom's outfit.

As the Iyer's had already cleared out that they would provide for Iknoor's dresses and jewelry for South Indian wedding,the Sehgal's were providing for the Punjabi wedding.

Right now they were in Avni's boutique to decide for Iknoor's bridal lehenga and the bride herself had not arrived yet.

"Yeh sahi shadi ho rahi h bhabhi,na dulhe ka pata h na dulhan ka!"Twinkle said and all the ladies chuckled at that.

"Woh hospital mein h chachi,unka routine checkup hota h aaj"Hriday said as he interned in the same hospital and Iknoor was the senior gynaecologist.

Work.

"Wese bhi aapke bete se toh better h Iknoor bhabhi,atleast roke se pehle gayab toh nhi hui kaam ke bahane"Maahi said because she was still pissed at her brother for not being present on his own roka.

"Nirvair ko jaanti nhi h kya tu?shadi se pehle ghar wapas aa jaye na woh toh wahi bht badi baat ho jayegi mere liye toh!"Bela said with a sigh.

The last time she talked to Nirvair,which was a week ago he had assured her he would be back in a week or two because he was stuck with some really important work.

The Iyer's had been kind to understand his work commitments and hadn't said anything when he wasn't present for the roka,they had to literally do the virtual roka through face time!

"Namastey"Iknoor's voice caught their attention as she entered the boutique, wearing a black coloured short kurti with blue wide legged jeans.

She walked upto them and was about to touch Bela's feet but Bela stopped her at that, Sehgal's never let the girl's touch their feet,it was rule in the family.

Iknoor passed them all a polite smile then.

"I am so sorry aunty for being late, actually ek choti si problem ho gayi thi hospital mein,that took time,I hope aapko zyada wait nhi karwaya meine?"Iknoor said looking at all the elder ladies who shrugged it off right away.

Well,work was important after all!

"Koi baat nhi beta, it's no big deal"Bela said and Iknoor again smiled at her.

"Chalo,ab finally aap log shuru kijiye,mein abhi se hi bore ho gaya hu kyuki"Shivansh said and all the ladies glared at him which shut him up instantly.

"Iknoor aao beta,let's select a gorgeous lehenga for you"Avni said guiding them all towards the bridal section.

All the ladies started looking at the different lehenga's kept on display,each one unique and beautiful in it's own way.

"Toh bhabhi bataiye,aapko kesa lehenga chahiye??"Aashi asked excitedly and Iknoor smiled at her excitement.

"I don't know"Iknoor said,she was never the girl to think upon this.

"Aapne abhi tak socha nhi?"Aashi again asked.

"Matlab,socha meine,but mujhe kuch as such sujha hi nhi"Iknoor said and all the ladies chuckled hearing that.

Offcourse nobody knew what kind of lehenga they want before they start looking for it.

"Koi nhi,hum sab ussi ke liye toh h,dekhte h na,itne options h,let's see tumhe konsa pasand aata h"Bhavya chachi said and Iknoor nodded at that.

"Ek kaam karo,tum teeno usse accompany karo,aur jo acha lage woh bata dena,hum sab yaha dekhte h"Avni chachi said to Aayat,Aashi and Maahi who nodded.

Iknoor left with the trio towards the left side to look for the lehenga's kept there while the elder Sehgal ladies started looking at the right side.

"Wow yeh kitna pretty h!"Aashi said gushing at the pink and silver lehenga kept on the display.

Maahi and Aayat looked at Iknoor who shook her head immediately at that.

"I want a basic red and golden lehenga,yeh pink,aur silver waghera nhi chahiye,meri Nani ne strictly bolkr bheja h shadi ka joda laal hi hona chahiye aur mujhe wahi lena h"Iknoor said and Aayat agreed with it.

No matter what new trend comes,a bride's actual glow comes when she wears that red legenga!

"Okay noted!"Aashi said and Iknoor nodded at that.

"Bhabhi,kya aapki koi choti behen h?jo aap hi ki tarah sundar si h?"Abeer asked as he appeared out of nowhere and started walking on Iknoor's left.

Iknoor laughed hearing his question.

She had met the Sehgal siblings a couple of times now and has kind of gotten a hint at their personalities.

"Nhi,mere 5 Bhai h pr,aur sab mujhse bade h"Iknoor said and Abeer sighed hearing that.

"Aap bhi matlab ek hi piece thi na?shit !!aap bhi mere haath se nikal gayi!"He said and Iknoor chuckled hearing him.

"Why don't you get lost?"Maahi said glaring at him and Abeer pulled his tongue out at her.

Always the childish one.

"Yeh kesa rahega bhabhi?"Aayat asked as she pointed towards a red lehenga with golden work on it,it looked stunning and Iknoor kept staring at it for a few mins trying to decipher if this was the one she wanted to purchase.

"Hayee yeh bht hi pyaara h!!"Twinkle chachi as always gushed seeing the gorgeous lehenga kept on the display.

"Yeh sabse latest collection h,kal hi bankar aaya h,it took 4 months to make this piece"Avni chachi said.

All the ladies looked at Iknoor who wasn't sure what she was supposed to say.

"Agar yeh acha nhi laga toh koi baat nhi beta,Avni ke paas aur bhi bht saare pieces h,un mein se koi dekh lete h"Bela said assuring Iknoor.

"Ha aur agar kuch pasand na aaye toh we can custom make one for you"Avni said giving her a big smile.

"I think yeh wala acha h,matlab aap sabko bhi agar acha lage toh we can choose this one"Iknoor said,she thought it would be polite to ask her in law's opinion as well.

"Shadi aapki h bhabhi,aap chose kijiye"Aashi said and the other ladies nodded at that.

"Ha beta,pehna bhi tumhe hi h,tumhe jo pasand aaye ussi ko select karo"Choti maa said and Iknoor smiled hearing that.

"Then I think yeh wala hi fix krte h,this is good"Iknoor said giving a wide smile to them and the ladies nodded at that.

"Well that was the quickest shopping decision ever bhabhi!!"Shivansh said, Abeer and Hriday agreed with him.

They had thought the lehenga shopping would take the whole day but Iknoor was so sure of what she wanted,she made it easy for everyone.

"Ab kuch khane chale badi maa??bht bhook lag rahi h"Abeer said dramatically and the ladies sighed.

"Tum ladke koi kaam ke hi nhi ho!jab dekho khana hi sujhta rehta h!"Bela said glaring at the three of them.

"Humne kuch nhi kaha tha"Hriday said and Bela's glare made him quiet.

"Jewellery bhi leni h abhi toh!"Bhavya chachi said and all the males sighed.

Jewellery store,

Iknoor was bored to hell now,she had never actively shopped for jewellery ever in her life and now she has decided she would never do it again in future too.

Every design looked beautiful,each one of them unique and flawless,she wasn't able to choose any one of them!

She was just too confused!

"Yrr jewellery shopping itni difficult hoti h!!!"Iknoor sighed as she kept her head against the glass table on which each set was kept for her to examine.

"Yeh kesa h beta?"Avni chachi asked showing her yet another diamond set and Iknoor smiled at it too like she did with every one of them.

"Mumma yeh kitna pyaara h!"Aashi gushed over a small butterfly pendant.

"Bht accha h,ek kaam kr isse bhi rakh de waha counter pr,tujh pr bht acha lagega"Bela said and Aashi gave her a wide smile hearing that,Bela knew Aashi liked such simple and small jewellery like her.

"Bhabhi,aapko koi bhi pasand nhi aa raha h kya?"Aayat asked and Iknoor shook her head at that.

"Nhi,problem toh yahi h na ki mujhe toh saare hi pasand aa rahe h!"Iknoor said and sighed to herself.

She wished Meher bhabhi was with her,or her Nani or Patti,they would have themselves done all the work and she wouldn't have to use her brain so much.

"Ek kaam karo,tum sab bacche jaakr kuch khaakr aa jao,hum tab tak dekh lete h jewellery ka"Bela said sensing Iknoor's delimma.

"Iknoor beta jao tum bhi jao inke saath,Hriday sabko lekr chala ja"Choti maa said.

"It's okay aunty mein help kr deti hu aapki"Iknoor said with a polite smile.

"Koi baat nhi tum jao inke saath,wese bhi yeh sab hum dekh lenge!"Bhavya chachi too said this time and Iknoor nodded at that then.

Finally!

She was free from that boring jewellery shopping,honestly she didn't mind wearing whatever anybody else chooses for her because she herself doesn't has much knowledge about all these things.

"Kaha jaaye?Mac D?"Abeer asked and everyone shook their head at that.

"No fast food please,I am really hungry now,khana khaate h!"Aashi said and the ladies agreed with her.

Iknoor too was famished now,she too wanted to eat some real food and not that burger and pizza.

"Papa pizza!"Iti said and Hriday shook his head in denial.

"Bilkul nhi,abhi khane ka time h,khana hi khayengi aap"Hriday said and Iti pouted and looked at her mother who too gave her the same expression and Iti pouted deeper this time.

"Ek kaam krte h,yaha na paas mein hi ek hotel h,waha chalte h,acha khana milta h waha"Iknoor suggested because she often goes there with her family and friends.

They all agreed with her and made their way out of the mall.

"Ek kaam kijiye bhabhi aap hamare saath hi aaiye na hamari gaadi mein"Hriday suggested and Iknoor nodded.

"Mein bas yeh meri gaadi mein rakh deti hu,phir chalte h"Iknoor said pointing to the few bags she had shopped for herself.

They walked towards her car first and the boys all were shocked seeing she had a Rolls Royce boat tail!

"Oh my god!!!!!aapke paas rolls Royce boat tail h!!!!!!how lucky of you!!!!"Shivansh gasped and Iknoor chuckled hearing that.

"Bhabhi this is so cool!!!!"Abeer too gushed with the same enthusiasm.

"Kya gaadi h yrr yeh!!!kitni sexy h!!!"Shivansh said and everyone laughed hearing that.

Iknoor quickly unlocked it and kept her things into it and they made their way towards their car.

Once they reached the hotel they all settled down on the long table and were waiting for the menu.

"Bhabhi aap mujhe kabhi test drive krne dengi!! please,I promise mein bilkul sahi salamat lekr aaunga usse wapas!"Shivansh said and Iknoor now knew that this guy was obsessed with cars.

"Offcourse no big deal"Iknoor said.

Shivansh gave her a full blown smile at that.

"Not at all being offensive bhabhi!pr kya doctor's sach mein itna earn krte h?"Abeer asked for a genuine doubt and Iknoor laughed hearing that.

"Bilkul bhi nhi!I mean baakiyon ka pata nhi meri salary itni nhi h ki mein iss gaadi ko afford kar saku,yeh rakhi gift diya tha mere bhai ne mujhe, honestly I don't even know itna kya crazy h iske baare mein!"Iknoor said, Shivansh shook his head at that.

"Aap ladkiya kabhi beauty ko nhi pechan sakti!"Shivansh said.

"We don't need to find it,hum hi beauty h!"Iknoor said and all the ladies laughed hearing that.

"Aap Nirvair bhai ko competition de sakti h,I guess"Hriday said with an amused expression.

"Kis cheez mein?"Iknoor asked curiously.

"Savage replies mein!"Aashi said and Iknoor nodded at that.

Well Nirvair was a real savage and Iknoor knew about that.

"Matlab aap kehna chahte ho aapko itni salary nhi milti?"Aashi asked them and Iknoor nodded.

"Itna kaam krna padta h hospital mein,phir bhi mere boss increment hi nhi dete salary mein!"Iknoor said dramatically.

"Aap bhul rahi h bhabhi,aapke boss ab aapke honewale sasurji h!"Abeer teased her and Iknoor then realised it and bit her tongue at that.

Everyone chuckled seeing her reaction.

"Mera matlab h.....abhi meri salary itni nhi h,meine abhi abhi toh kaam shuru kiya h,aage badh jayegi"Iknoor said trying to cover up everyone still laughed at her.

"Aap kahe toh sifarish lagwa de aapki bade papa se?salary increase krne ke liye?"Shivansh teased her and she sighed.

"Shivansh chachu aap kyu unhe pareshan kr rahe h?bad boy!"Iti said narrowing her eyes at her eldest chachu who always troubled her too!

And here he was troubling her badi maa.

"Mumma daantiye inhe,yeh badi maa ko pareshan kr rahe h!!"Iti said looking at Aayat who laughed hearing that.

"Shivansh bhaiya,yeh bht galat h,aap hamari Iti ki badi maa ko aise pareshan nhi kr sakte h!"Aayat too played along and Iti smiled hearing that.

"Iti ki bacchi tujhe toh ghar jaakr dekhta hu,ulta latka dunga aaj toh pakka tujhe!"Shivansh said and Iti glared at her.

"Dadu se complaint karenge aapki toh!!bht bad boy ho aap!"Iti said and then looked at Iknoor who was staring at her only.

"Badi maa,aap buddy se complaint krna,buddy pitai karenge phir inki!"Iti said and Iknoor chuckled hearing that.

"Uske liye aapke buddy ko yaha hona bhi chahiye na!"Abeer teased her and Iti pouted at that.

"Woh chor pakadne gaye h!time lagta h!!aapko nhi pata!"Iti said defending her buddy because he wasn't here to defend himself.

"Dekh lijiye bhabhi aapke liye abhi se competition h!ab aap Iti ki nazro mein Nirvair bhai se zyada important kese banengi?"Shivansh asked.

"I don't want to compete at all!wese bhi meri na chote baccho se banti hi nhi h,matlab mein unhe pareshan krne lag jaati hu,isliye woh mujhse chid jaatein h!"Iknoor said and everyone chuckled hearing that.

When she had met Iti for the first time during the roka ceremony which was held at her house only,Iknoor had troubled Iti alot by teasing her just for fun and Iti had gotten too angry with her,she wasn't even ready to click any pictures with her,but then later on Iknoor had treated Iti with some ice cream and chocolates and that did the work because Iti talked to her then and also clicked pictures with her.Since then she has always been getting chocolates for her any time she meets Iti but she also teases the hell out of her later and Iti has now gotten used to her and has understood that Iknoor is just like her chachu's who like to trouble her but are good.

"Iti aapko pata h mere paas bachapn mein ek badi si doll thi!itni badi,aapke paas h kya?"Iknoor said teasing Iti who pouted because she doesn't has a huge doll.

She looked at her papa then.

"Bhabhi kyu aap usse aisi baatein bol rahi h?hum itni badi doll kaha se layenge?"Hriday said and Iknoor laughed hearing that.

"Mujhe kya pata?laakr do usse!tum papa ho,tumhe hi uski wishes puri krni padegi aakhir!"Iknoor said just messing with them.

Hriday sighed.

She and Nirvair were going to be one hell of a couple!

Soon enough their food had arrived and even though Hriday and Aayat had denied a Pizza to Iti,Iknoor had ordered one for her much to the couple's dismay.

"Hriday take a chill,it's just a pizza!"Iknoor said.

"Haa pr roz,roz pizza acha nhi hota!aur aap toh khud doctor h aapko behtar pata h yeh sab"Hriday said.

"Arre doctor hu toh kya hum doctor log junk nhi khaate?mein toh sab khaati hu bhai,aur wese bhi once in a while sab chalta h"Iknoor said as she served the Pizza on Iti's plate giving her an encouraging look who smiled at her in return.

This is why she liked Iknoor!

"Bhabhi aap hamare saath kal salon aaoge?"Aashi asked and Iknoor shook her head in denial at that.

"Sorry,pr kal 2 deliveries h meri,aur routine check-ups bhi h,and I don't think mujhe wese bhi chutti milegi,kyuki shadi ke liye already meine 20 days ka leave application diya hua h,aur chuttiya afford nhi kr sakti abhi mein"Iknoor said and Aashi sighed hearing that.

"Hum sab jaa rahe the,aise hi haircut waghera ke liye,aap bhi hamare saath haircut waghera krwa leti na"Aashi said.

"Sorry,mein baal nhi katwa sakti apne,meri Nani meri jaan le lengi agar meine mere baal cut kr diye toh"Iknoor said and everyone stared at her curiously.

"Pr kyu??aapke toh already itne lambe baal h!thode se cut kr diye toh kya ho jayega?"Aashi asked.

"Mein sikhni hu,hamare yaha ladkiya baal nhi katwati kabhi bhi!meri Nani bht strict h iss mamle mein!"Iknoor said and the Sehgal's were surprised to hear that they were Punjabi too but Iknoor's nani-nana were Sikh and followed their culture very religiously.

"Matlab aapne kabhi zindagi mein apne baal cut hi nhi kiye kya?"Aayat was too surprised.

How can a girl live without getting a nice haircut?

"Nhi,meine life mein kabhi baal nhi kaate h"Iknoor said and they were too stunned hearing that.

"Tabhi toh badi maa ke Rapunzel jese baal h,hame bhi apne baal nhi katwane h abse papa,phir hamare bhi baal badi maa jese ho jayenge,h na badi maa?"Iti asked and Iknoor smiled at her and gave a positive answer to that.

"Kabhi bhi nhi?? bachpan mein bhi nhi?"Aayat asked and Iknoor shook her head in denial.

That answered her query of how Iknoor's hair was so long,they went past her hips, almost reaching her knees and were dense and pitch black,tho

ugh she kept them in a bun most of the time.

"Shadi mein bhi nhi katwa sakti aap bhabhi?"Aashi asked.

"Bilkul bhi nhi,meri Nani sacchi jaan le lengi meri,wese bhi lambe baalon se bhi bht saari hairstyles kr sakte h!"Iknoor said,well this was what she had heard most of her life.
