Any other girl would have been happy receiving a wedding alliance from their crush but Iknoor wasn't!

"Noorie jaa puttar Nirvair ko garden dikha de"Her Nani said and Iknoor understood,she meant to go and talk to him alone.

Both made their way towards the garden,Nirvair just following her behind.

They sat on the benches placed in the garden where the lil family often enjoys tea and snacks after a hectic day at work.

"Myself Nirvair,Nirvair Sehgal"He said as he forwarded a hand for a handshake.

A handshake really?

Were they having a formal meeting?

She thought but still shook her own hand with his,even though she would want to deny it but she felt a spark when her palm touched his.

He was just a stupid crush!!!!

"Myself Iknoor Iyer"She said and Nirvair just nodded at that.

Now she didn't know what she should say!

If it were any other guy she would have asked many questions she already had in her mind,but it was not just any guy.

It was Nirvair!

"So you are a doctor?"Nirvair asked even though he knew it.

"Yes,I am a gynaecologist,I work at your father's hospital"She said as calmly as she could manage to.

"Oh"Nirvair just said because he didn't know she worked at her father's hospital.

"Tum kya krte ho?"She asked, genuinely curious to know what he does.

"I am an advocate,I work at a legal firm"He said and she too nodded then.

Advocate?well he did have a sharp tongue.

Both were silent then.Neither of them knew what to talk about!

'babaji please bhabhi ko bhej do mujhe bulane ke liye,mujhse aur baat nhi ho rahi h,aur mujhe apna mazak nhi banana kuch behki behki baat bolkr iske saamne!'

Iknoor prayed in her mind.

Well if she would have asked for anything else she would have got that too because her bhabhi came right at that moment,asking them to come inside.

She again went and sat in between her Nanu and Nani not looking at anyone,her boss and her crush,too of the most dangerous things in the world were sitting right in front of her!

"Thik h phir,hum chalte h,I hope hum dubara milenge "Andy Sehgal said and Iknoor's nanu and thatha nodded at that.

Before leaving Sumitra caressed Iknoor's cheek and Iknoor was hell nervous at that time.Still she managed to give her a smile.

"Agli baar milenge beta"Sumitra said and Iknoor just nodded at that.

"Nanu!!!!woh mere boss ka beta h!!!!"Iknoor said immediately when the Sehgal's left.

"Toh kya ho gaya??tujhe boss se thodi,uske bete se shadi krni h!"Her nani said.

"Nani!!!agar kuch galat ho gaya na toh meri personal aur professional dono life barbad ho jayegi!!!aur mujhe inn dono ko mix hi nhi krna h!!"She said as she sat down with a thud on the sofa.

"Tujhe ladka kesa laga?"Meher bhabhi asked with a knowing glint in her eyes.

"Pata nhi"Iknoor said as she got up from the sofa and left for her room.

She herself didn't know what she felt right now!

She should be happy she may get married to Nirvair,who has been her crush for the past 10 years!!!

But she wasn't.

It was all too much for her.

She worked under Mahir Sehgal,she loved her job and the place,if anything went wrong she might lose her job which she didn't want.

Plus she wasn't sure what she felt about Nirvair apart from him being her crush,she can't just marry him because he was her crush right?

Marriage is a big thing!!

It wasn't like dating,once married the couple is tied for the rest of their lives.

The whole family was waiting for Nirvair because it was the second time that he had gone to meet Iknoor but for a coffee so that the two get to know eachother.

As soon as Nirvair walked in he saw the whole family sitting in the living room.

He knew that they all were waiting for him so that they could ask him how his meeting with the girl went.

"Please,not now"He said as soon as he sat on the single sofa.

"Kyu???"Bela asked and everyone looked at him curiously.

"Kesi lagi tujhe ladki?"His dadi asked.

"I don't know"Nirvair said with a sigh and all the ladies narrowed their eyes at him.

"Aise kese pata nhi??tune baat vaat nhi ki kya usse?yeh meeting thi hi isliye ki tum log ek dusre ko jaan sako"Twinkle chachi said.

"I don't think we are compatible for each other,aap log mana kr dijiye unhe"Nirvair said and everyone glared at him this time.

"Ek meeting mein kese judge kr sakta h usse?meet her a few more times and decide!"Mahir said.

"Nhi papa,I think I have known her enough,I don't think we are compatible"Nirvair said.

"Kyu??aisa bhi kya h?"Bela asked.

"Woh ladki bht sundar, intelligent aur well settled h,plus acche ghar se h,mujhe toh koi problem nhi dikhti"Choti maa said.

"Exactly!!woh bht susheel types h,I mean bht seedhi h!!can you imagine she never had a boyfriend!!how boring she is then!"Nirvair said and all the ladies glared at him.

"Toh kya ho gaya? it's her choice!!teri mumma ne bhi kabhi kisi ko date nhi kiya tha shadi se pehle,na meine Kiya tha,I don't think that made us boring!"Mahir said and Nirvair sighed as he looked at Bela.

"Bahane mat bana tu!"Pinky dadi said and Nirvair sighed then.

"I really didn't got any vibe from her,that's it"Nirvair said.

"Ha toh zaruri thodi h ek baar mein hi tujhe vibe aa jayegi,get to know her more,aise itni jaldi don't judge her!"Neil chachu said.

"Pr mujhe nhi milna h usse aur!!I really don't feel that we are made for each other,maybe aapko unhe mana kr hi dena chahiye!"Nirvair said.

"Nirvair,tune mujhse aaj subah hi promise kiya tha that you will meet this girl and give this alliance a chance!"Bela asked sternly.

After he had apologied for his insensitive comments the other day he had promised to meet the girl with a clear mind.

"Ha toh mein mila usse mumma but I didn't felt any spark isliye mujhe nhi krni shadi!"Nirvair said then and everyone sighed.

"If you wanted to waste our time why the hell did you even let us talk to the family?humne saamne se rishte ki baat ki thi Nirvair,we can't deny without a valid reason!"Andy said glaring at his grandson.

No matter how much he loved him,he didn't like Nirvair's stubbornness in this matter

"Ha toh valid reason h na mere paas dadu!mujhe kuch feel nhi hua usse milkr,na meri vibe match hui uske saath"Nirvair said and the males glared at him.

"Shivaay bhaiya ko bhi pehele nhi krni thi shadi,now look at him! he's whipped!"Ishan chachu said.

"Chote papa was actually ready for marriage at that time!I am not!"Nirvair pointed out the difference.

"Toh tere papa konse ready the shadi ke liye,Mahir Bhai was against marriage,look at him now! isn't he happy?"Again Ishan chachu said.

"Papa ko mumma shadi ke pehle se pasand thi! obviously if he's getting married to the girl he likes,why would he have a problem?mera aisa case nhi h!"Nirvair again pointed out the difference.

"Okh fine you are different maan liya!pr at least tu uss ladki se mil toh ek aur baar!ek mulaqat mein kese decide kr sakta h tu ki tujhe shadi nhi krni?"Avni Chachi said this time and he sighed.

"Mujhe nhi pata Chachi,but mujhe nhi lagta we are made for each other!"Nirvair said in a tone of finality.

"Give me one valid reason and nobody is going to force you!teri marzi chalegi bas!"Andy said and everyone looked at him in surprise.

Just like that?

Nirvair can easily say any bad thing about the girl and he will be free!

"Meri usse vibe match nhi hui"Nirvair said.

"Invalid"Andy said and everyone smirked hearing that.

If he thinks he can win against Andy Sehgal when it comes to negotiation then he is a fool.

He might be forgetting that his grandfather was the number one businessman of India before his retirement!

The family was convinced now that Nirvair did not have a way out of this situation!

"Woh bht seedhi saadhi h, completely opposite of what I am!"Nirvair said then.

"Invalid"Andy again said.

"I didn't feel any spark when I met her"Nirvair said.

"Don't forget you have sisters as well"Mahir said glaring at his son for speaking nonsense about someone else's daughter.

"Again invalid"Andy again said.

"Dadu this is not done!!meine aapko mere reasons bataye h!"Nirvair said.

"Ha pr mujhe woh valid nhi lagte,inn reasons se I don't think there will be any problem in your married life!"Andy said staring at him.

Nirvair didn't have anything to say now.

He wasn't that person who would speak rubbish about another person for his benefit.

Plus his papa was right!

He too had sisters,he wouldn't like it if someone spoke nonsense about them!

Plus the girl was really nice!

She was well educated!

She was beautiful,he couldn't deny that!

She was well mannered!

So there really wasn't a true reason to deny this alliance!

"Okay then,Bela call them tomorrow and keh dena unse ki hamari taraf se haa h"Andy announced and Nirvair stared at him with his mouth open.

"Okay dad"Bela too agreed with her father in law's decision.

"Dadu?!you can't do this to me!!meri marzi ke khilaf aap meri shadi nhi krwa sakte!"Nirvair said.

"You didn't have a girl in your life!you aren't going to bring a girl in the near future as well,so obviously we will have to search for a potential bride for you,and we just did that,so now you will get married to her"Andy said and the family agreed with it.

"No!!!I didn't give my consent for this, zabardasti shadi nhi krwa sakte aap meri!"Nirvair said and Mahir glared at him this time.

"There is nothing wrong with the girl,agar kisi mein problem h toh woh tu h!!sukhar kr teri job ke baare mein sunne ke baad bhi woh log iss rishte ko consider kr rahe h!!"Mahir said and Nirvair got annoyed hearing it.

"Fine!!!karao meri shadi!!!agar shadi ke baad woh ladki dukhi hui,ya mein ek ideal husband ki tarah behave nhi kr paaya toh uske zimmedar aap log honge!!! because I stick to my decision,I don't want anyone in my life!!!I will never accept her!!"Nirvair said seriously in a final tone.

"Nhi dadi,mein aap logo ko shanti se hi samjha raha tha kabse!!hrr tarah se bol chuka hu that I don't want to get married,but you guys are hell bent on doing it,karo,but meri marzi nhi h iss shadi mein,I will continue to live the way I am living now!!koi ladki aaye ya na aaye meri zindagi mein,mujhe isse koi farak nhi padta h!!I am never accepting this marriage ever!!"Nirvair said angrily.

"Chup ho jaa,thand rakh thodi"His dadi said as she got up and made him sit beside her.

"Puttar ek companion toh sabko chahiye hota h life mein!"Pinky dadi said and Nirvair sighed but didn't said anything.

"Wahi toh,ab tu dekh,ek ek krke sab shadi karenge!sabke bacche honge,tere dost bhi shadi kr hi lenge!tu kya zindagi bharr akela hi rahega??"Sumitra said.

"I don't mind being alone dadi,mujhe nhi chahiye koi companion,I am perfectly fine the way I am!"Nirvair said softly this time,he can't raise his voice on his dadi anyways.

"Puttar,tujhe ab aisa lag raha h,saalon baad tujhe regret hoga ki tune bhi apne liye kisi ko dhunda kyu nhi?"Pinky dadi said.

"I won't regret it dadi,ulta regret mein ab karunga agar meri iccha nhi h phir bhi meine iss ladki se shadi kr li toh!"Nirvair said calmly explaining his point.

"Tujhe aisa lagta h,pr jab tujhpe kisi aur ki zimmedari aayegi na,toh tu khud hi badal jayega puttar,aur tujhe pata bhi nhi chalega kese tu accept kr lega iss cheez ko!"Sumitra said and Nirvair sighed.

"Dadi ek baat bataiye?"Nirvair asked and she nodded her head and gestured him to speak.

"Shadi matlab companionship na?ek dusre ke saath rehna through thick and thin!being supportive of eachother,trying to make sure that the other person is fine!making them your top priority!never neglecting them!being dependent on eachother emotionally, mentally!"Nirvair asked and Sumitra nodded her head at that.

"Yeh sab nhi hoga mujhse!!na mujhe kisi pr dependent rehna h kisi bhi cheez ke liye na kisi aur ko dependent banana h apne upar!na mein kisi ko apni top priority bana sakta hu,na mein chahta hu koi aur mere liye aisa kuch kare!I can be supportive but woh support dikhane ke liye I can't be physically present,I may understand that person but I won't be able to share it with her!na mere paas itna time h ki mein uske saath time spend kar saku!agar mujhse yeh sab hoga hi nhi toh shadi kyu karu mein??kyu kisi ladki ki zindagi kharab karu?"Nirvair said and everyone sighed.

"Tujhe aisa lagta h!kya pata woh tujhe samaj payegi jesa tu h wesa hi!maybe she won't demand things you won't be able to give to her!"Bhavya chachi said.

"Aap log samaj hi nhi rahe ho mein kya kehna chahta hu!"Nirvair said and everyone again sighed.

"Tu bata mujhe Hriday!Aayat dukhi hoti h toh tujhe taklif hoti h na?tu try krta h na kese bhi krke usse cheer up kare!!tu try krta h na ki tu time nikal usse bahar lekr jaye,uske saath time spend kare,most importantly you listen to her!"Nirvair said and Hriday nodded at that.

"Mere paas time nhi h iss sab ke liye!!my first priority is my job!!mera boss mujhe jab bulayega mujhe jaana padta h,aap log khud hi complain krte ho ki mein zyada time nhi spend kr pata ghar pr,ya aap sabko bina bataye hi gayab ho jaata hu! important family events tak miss kr deta hu mein,apni job ki wajah se!toh mein kisi ladki ko kya time de paunga?? don't you think that girl deserves all this?"Nirvair asked explaining his point.

Nobody said anything for sometime,there was a silence.

"You are just over thinking,once you have a responsibility you will fulfil it truly I know that"Andy said and Nirvair sighed.

He really doesn't knows how can he make them understand!!!

"Agar mere itna kehne ke baad bhi aap log nhi samajh rahe h then go ahead and do as you wish dadu because I think I have tried everything I can to convince you all that I don't want to get married"Nirvair said dejectedly.

"This is not....

"It's okay dadu,do as you please "Nirvair said and left.

He couldn't argue with them anymore,he knew they would never understand!

"Bela...

"Dad kya hame zabardasti krni chahiye?"Bela asked him before he could say anything.

Hearing Nirvair's words Bela was having second thoughts.

She didn't want to spoil a girl's life after all!!

"Trust me,say yes to them,agar iska baap seedha ho gaya shadi ke baad toh yeh kya cheez h"Andy said and left and everyone sighed.

What could have been a simple discussion,turned out to be a full on argument!

"Mumma,agar bhai sach mein...

"I trust dad's decision,woh galat nhi soch sakte,wese bhi agar iss ladke ki hrr iccha ko maante rahe na toh yeh aise hi natak krta rahega, it's high time he should settle dow

n now!"Bela said trusting her father in law's decision.

"Exactly and Iknoor ek bht acchi ladki h!"Mahir added agreeing with his wife.

The rest of the elders too agreed with it.

The youngesters were in a bit of confusion but then the elders were sure about it so they also didn't find anything wrong in it.
