Shiv opened his eyes as the sunrays entered the room through the window.He felt something all over his body.He opened his eyes and was met with the sight of long hair spread over his chest as his wife's head rested on the left side of his chest,arms wrapped around his torso and one of her leg sprawled over his waist.

He remembers how yesterday when she thought he was asleep,she leaned over his side, firstly kept her arm around his torso but she didn't seem to stop and so then kept her leg over it but still she wasn't satisfied so she got up and spread his arm and then kept her head over his chest and then wrapped his arm around her and then she slept.

At first he was a bit taken aback by her move and didn't reacted because he was almost asleep but as soon as she cuddled with him his sleep was gone.

He was awake and was just quietly seeing what his wife does when she thinks he is asleep.

She was a shy,meek girl,he hadn't thought she would ever cuddle him in her consciousness.

What happened at her home was because she was terrified,he held her and let her sleep in his embrace because that was what was helping her be calm in that moment.

Well,he wouldn't say he was uncomfortable with her cuddling him,but he was surely surprised.

She thought he was asleep and so he wouldn't even know what happened but she was wrong,he was awake all along and a part of him did wanted to tease her about it but then he knows how she is,she would make sure to not even touch him by mistake in her sleep or even in her consciousness.

Maybe she wasn't able to sleep that's why she cuddled with him.

That was the only possible explanation he could have for her actions.

He gently detangled her from himself and got up after covering her with the blanket properly.

He went to the bathroom,did his morning routine,got changed into his office wear,made his hair and was ready for the day.His wife was still sleeping peacefully.

He left the bedroom and went towards the study as he had to check a few important documents before he left.

As he was checking the documents,he saw the file Iti had given to him before she left for Mumbai.

They were the financial reports she had audited.

He frowned as he saw some changes in it.The file which the head of finance department had given him did not match with what Iti had audited.

There was a lot of difference in the amounts which the two files showed.

Breakfast table,

Shiv was already sitting with his Nanisa Hukum when Iti and Gauravi too arrived and settled in their respective seats.

Before Iti could even have a bite of the paratha Shiv spoke to her.

"Iti,aapne jo files hame di h usmein errors h"Shiv said and Iti looked at him,giving him her whole attention now.

"Kese errors?"Iti asked.

"Financial statements match nhi kr rahi h jo aapne report banayi h uski aur jo hamare head of finance ne bheji h"Shiv said and Iti frowned hearing that.

"Phir aapke head of finance se koi galti ho gayi hogi"Iti said and Shiv raised his eyebrows at her confidence.

His head of finance was working in his office since the past 20 years and here she,who has no work experience was stating he was the one who had made a mistake.

"Aap ek baar check kr lijiye aapki reports shayad aapse koi galti ho gayi hogi kyuki hamare head of finance kaafi time se hamare office mein kaam kr rahe h"Shiv said and Iti frowned deeper hearing that.

"Nhi,humse koi galti nhi hui h,humne ekdam sahi report banayi h,aap unse kahiye ek baar check krne ke liye"Iti said and Shiv didn't knew if he should scold her for being overconfident or praise her for being so sure of her work.

"Hum keh denge unhe bhi,pr aap bhi ek bar check kr lijiyega"Shiv said and that made Iti frown deeper which was visible on her face.

"Ek baar sirf check krni h aapko Iti"Shiv again said and she sulked but nodded her head at that.

"Kya hua h Shiv?"Nanisa Hukum asked as she saw the two interacting.

"Kuch nhi Nanisa Hukum,woh financial statements jo Iti ne banayi h woh hamare finance department ki reports se match nhi kr rahi h"Shiv said and Iti frowned deeper hearing that.

She hadn't made any mistakes,she agrees she has no work experience but she was sure what she had done was right.

"Ek baar re-check krna padega"Shiv said and Nanisa Hukum nodded her head at that.

They had a silent breakfast then and everyone then got up to leave for their respective work places.

The guard opened the door for Shiv and he was about to sit but stopped when he heard someone call his name.

He didn't had to turn around to see who it was because only Iti calls him by his name.

"Shiv"Iti called out and he stopped and turned around to see her holding a file in her hand along with a laptop bag.

He walked towards her and stopped infront of her.

"Ji"Shiv said.

"Hum aapke saath office aa sakte h?"Iti asked and he raised his eyebrows at that.

"Aapko lagta humse galti hui h report mein,hum prove kr denge ki humse galti nhi hui h aur aapke department ke logo ki hi galti h"Iti said determinantly.

"Humne aisa kab kaha aapse galti hui h?aur agar ho bhi gayi toh itni badi baat nhi h Iti,aapka pehla job h,aapko work experience bhi nhi h,aapse galti ho sakti h"Shiv said making her narrow her eyes at him.

"Pr humne galti nhi ki h,humne bht dhyan se unn files ko audit kiya h"Iti stated.

Shiv sighed.

"Acha chaliye aur prove kr dijiye aapse galti nhi hui h,bas?"Shiv said and Iti nodded and walked towards the car and settled inside it.

Shiv too settled on the other side and the driver drove away.

"Iti,agar aapse galti hui bhi h toh bhi hum aapko kuch nhi kehnewale h,aap itna mann pr mat lagaiye iss baat ko"Shiv said and Iti again frowned hearing that.

Why can't he for once think that his finance department had made a mistake and not her!

"Aapko lagta h humne hi galti ki h na?"Iti asked and he sighed.

He truly wasn't aware about Iti's talent and her work,and on the other hand his financial department had been working with him for years now,so obviously he was bound to feel it was Iti's mistake somewhere.

"Humne aisa nhi kaha h Iti"Shiv said but Iti didn't replied to it and stayed silent.

The rest of the car ride was silent.

Once they reached his office,Shiv opened the car door for her and helped her out of the car.

Already a lot of heads turned towards them and they haven't even entered inside the building now.

"Back door nhi h yaha?"Iti asked making Shiv frown hearing that.

Why did she need a back door?

"Kyu?"Shiv asked.

"Sab hame hi dekh rahe h"Iti said and Shiv then noticed the eyes which were casted upon them as the two stood beside eachother.

"Toh dekhne dijiye"Shiv said as he held her palm and started walking inside.

The two walked inside the office and the people did stared at them but on receiving one glare from him all of them casted their eyes down.

They walked towards a private elevator which only he had an access to.

Once they reached his office Iti stared at it because it was the first time she had visited it.

"Ek kaam krte h hum aapki apne finance department ke head se meeting krwate h,aap dono discuss kr lijiyega jo bhi issue ho aur hame bata dijiyega"Shiv said and Iti stared at him in confusion.

"Aap nhi honge hamare saath?"Iti asked and he shook his head in denial at that.

"Hamari ek meeting h abhi"Shiv said making Iti frown.

How was she going to talk to them on her own?

She needed him to be with her so that he could do all the talk.

"Aap baadmein nhi jaa sakte?"Iti asked and Shiv sighed.

"Iti,aapko sirf kaam ki baat krni h unse,itna tension mat lijiye"Shiv said and Iti wasn't satisfied but nodded.

He had other work too,he can't be with her all the time.

"Thik h"Iti said and he nodded his head and took the intercom and asked his PA to send the head of the finance department in his cabin.

A knock filled the silence and Shiv asked the person to enter.

"Sir,you asked for me?"A man in his early fifties asked as he stood infront of him.

"Yes Mr.Singh, please have a seat"Shiv said and the man nodded and sat on the chair infront of him while Iti sat on the couch adjacent to them.

As the man sat down he did stared at Iti but then immediately looked at Shiv.

Shiv introduced him to Iti and the man greeted her as she was his boss's wife and also the queen of Udaipur.

"Yeh jo reports h jo ki hamari wife ne banayi h,yeh aapke financial statements se match nhi kr rahi h Mr.Singh"Shiv said and the man frowned as he stared at the reports.

"I assure you sir,we haven't made any mistakes" the man said.

"Aap Iti se iss baare mein discuss kijiye and find out the problem"Shiv said as he got up and walked towards Iti.

"Aap Mr.Singh se discuss kr sakti h Iti,yeh hamare finance department ke head h"Shiv said and Iti too nodded her head at that.

"Aap yaha aaiye aur yaha bethiye"Shiv said as he held her hand and made her sit on his seat in the cabin as the man sat infront of her.

She was a bit surprised and hesitant to sit on his place but he assured her it was fine.

As Shiv left Iti turned towards the man and stared at him.

"Aapne hame jo statements bheje the usse humne yeh reports banayi h Mr.Singh,I think aapke staff se koi galti hui h isliye errors dikha rahe h"Iti said and the man frowned but didn't said anything.

The two then sat trying to match the report with the statements trying to find who was the who had made a mistake.

As Shiv entered his cabin he found Iti sitting there waiting for him with a wide smile on her face.

She immediately got up from his chair and walked towards him with a file in her hand.

"Yeh dekhiye,humne kaha tha humse galti nhi hui h,humne sahi report banayi thi!"Iti said and shoved the file in his hand.

"Hame bethne toh dijiye Iti"Shiv said as he went and sat on his chair and drank water and Iti stood beside him waiting patiently for him to get done with it so that she could show him what the mistake was.

"Yeh dekhiye!"Iti said showing him the file.

Shiv opened the file and started to check it but Iti couldn't wait any more so she leaned to his side showing him the page where errors were made.

"Aapke department ne galti ki thi!dekha!humne kaha tha aapse ki humne galti nhi ki thi"Iti said and Shiv was amused hearing her excited yet confident voice.

She usually isn't this eager to tell anything.

"Humne aapko blame nhi kiya tha Iti"Shiv said but she narrowed her eyes at him.

"Hame pata h aapko laga tha hamari hi galti h,mana ki hum age mein chote h aapke employees se aur hame koi working experience bhi nhi h,iska matlab yeh nhi ki hamare kaam mein galtiya hongi"Iti said and Shiv nodded his head at that then.

"Hame yeh nhi laga tha ki aapne galti ki h hame yeh laga tha ki aapne shayad galti se koi galti kr di hogi report banane mein"Shiv said and Iti wasn't convinced hearing that.

"Aapko ab apne words pr pardah daalne ki zarurat nhi h"Iti said and Shiv couldn't control but laugh.

"Acha hame maaf kr dijiye jo humne aapke work pr question kiya,ab hame samajh aa gaya h ki hamari biwi brilliant h apne kaam mein"Shiv said and Iti nodded her head at that then.

"Hum ghar jaa rahe h phir"Iti said.

"Aapne lunch kiya?"Shiv asked but she shook her head in denial at that.

"Toh phir hamare saath lunch kijiye phir jaiye"Shiv said and Iti nodded then because she would have to eat alone at home because Nanisa Hukum and Gauravi both are at their work places.

"Aapko Nanisa Hukum se kehna chahiye ki woh itna kaam na kare"Iti said what she had felt in all these days.

She had seen the old day always busy  with her work,often arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning which wasn't good for her health.

"Unhe kaam krna pasand h aur retirement ka abhi unka koi plan nhi h,hum bht baar keh chuke h pr woh kisi ki sunti kaha h"Shiv said and Iti understood that because even her grandparents were the same.

"Hamare dadu bhi aise hi h,pure pure din hospital mein hi rehte h,kisi ki nhi sunte h,unhe khaali bethna pasand nhi h na isliye jaatein h hospital"Iti said and Shiv nodded because his own Nanisa Hukum was like that.

A peon arrived with the lunch which was sent by the palace kitchen staff.

"Hum kr lenge aa jaiye"Shiv said and the peon though surprised did as asked and left.

"Hum kr dete h"Iti said before Shiv could open the tiffin.

She unpacked the box and filled two plates with the lunch and passed one to Shiv.

"Yeh kya ho raha h?"Shiv couldn't help but ask as Iti,Fang and Nimbus were sitting on the floor.

Iti's hair were open and hands oily as she was applying oil to her hair but the two dogs were barking at her from both the sides and she was glaring at them.

"Yeh dono hame tang kr rahe h!tel bhi nhi lagane de rahe h baalon mein"Iti said and the two dogs went to him and barked at him facing Iti.

Shiv kept his coat on the diwan and sat on it as he caressed their furry heads.

The dogs went to Iti and tried to hold her arm with their paws disturbing her from applying oil to her hair.

"Bht pitayi hogi aap dono ki,bht masti soojh rahi h aap dono ko,woh bhi raat mein!"Iti said warning them but that just made Shiv amused and the dogs were left unaffected.

They again went to Shiv and barked at him.

"Hum kya kare?"Shiv asked them and they again barked and stared at Iti's direction.

"Yeh dono chahte h hum inhe bhi tel lagaye"Iti said and Shiv finally understood why the dogs were barking at her and troubling her.

"Iti thoda sa tel laga dijiye unhe bhi,jaiye aapko tel laga dengi woh,go"Shiv said and encouraged the dogs to go to Iti who sighed but acted as if she had poured oil on their heads and then lightly massaged their heads.

As she stopped and started reapplying oil to herself they again barked at her and then looked at Shiv who couldn't help but laugh at their antics.

"Iti,unhe bhi tel lagaiye,ab laga dengi bas?"He said,the dogs again looked at Iti with expectant eyes.

She sighed,they were too cute to resist.

"Yeh aakhiri baar h iske baad nhi lagayenge tel"She said and again acted as if she was pouring oil over their heads and then again lightly massaged their heads.

Again,as she stopped they barked at her and then stared at Shiv.

"Bas ab unhe dekhne se kuch nhi hoga,bht raat ho gayi h aap dono ko soo jaana chahiye ab!"Iti said as she got up but both the dogs held each of her hand with their paws trying to stop her from getting up from the floor.

"Arre baba jaane dijiye hame!hame toh sona h na?"Iti spoke to them and Shiv stared at their trio in amusement.

He didn't knew Iti had become so friendly with the dogs,he had thought she would be afraid of them as she was a shy, fragile girl,but here the two dogs were too fond of her to even let her get up from beside them.

"Acha aap dono bed pr jaakr soiye hum aate h aapko good night bolne"Iti said and the two dogs at once ran and sat on their small dog beds kept beside the wall.

Iti smiled at them and went to the washroom to wash her hands as she made a bun of her hair.

She came out and saw the two dogs staring at her again.She went and sat beside them on the floor giving them ear scratches and belly rubs which they loved.

"Iti aapko so jaana chahiye ab"Shiv said as he freshened up and came out of the bathroom and she was still playing with the dogs.

"Yeh dono hame uthne hi nhi de rahe,hum kya kare?"Iti said as she laughed as the dogs again held her arm with their paws,not letting her get up.

"Aap dono chodiye unhe abhi ke abhi!unhe sona bhi h!"Shiv said as he walked towards them and the dogs made a sad sound but left Iti.

"Aww,hamara baccha,aap udaas kyu hote h,hum toh yahi pr h"Iti said as she stared at their sad faces and kissed their foreheads which satisfied them.

"Aapki itni dosti kese ho gayi inse?"Shiv couldn't help but ask.

"Pure din hamare saath library mein bethe rehte h yeh dono,peecha hi nhi chodte hamara"Iti said and Shiv smiled hearing that.

Finally she has got some company.

Anyways furry buddies were the best.

The two laid down on the bed and Shiv turned off the lights.

He could feel Iti tossing and turning and trying to find a comfortable position but she couldn't.

He closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.

He wanted to see if she would cuddle with him today also.

Maybe she was sleepy yesterday and that's why she did that.

Before he could think about it anymore,an arm slowly made it's way on his torso and he couldn't help but lift his lips and smile at her actions.

She was trying to be so slow and quiet about it,afraid that he would wake up.

She gently kept her head on the left side of his chest and slowly raised her knee and kept it over his waist.

Finally being comfortable she covered the two of them with the blanket and closed her eyes.

Shiv smiled at her antics.
