"Humne kaha na mumma ko phone dijiye!aap dono se baat nhi krni h hame,unse krni h"Iti said almost controlling herself from yelling for the nth time over the video call but her irritating younger brothers thought it was fun so they weren't doing it and were talking to her to annoy her.
Shiv who came out of the bathroom was a lil startled hearing her almost yell at someone over the phone call.Well she is a very soft-spoken girl, at least she hasn't screamed or yelled or even talked in a higher pitch in front of him.
"Pr hum dono ko tujhse baat krni h Iti"Aashray said over the video call just to annoy her and it worked.
"Aashray,hum mazak krne ke mood mein nhi h,jaakr mumma ko phone dijiye aap"Iti said trying to control her irritation but it was quite evident in her tone.
Shiv settled on the bed on her other side still listening to her conversation because this was the first time she was talking loudly to her family,the rest of the time she speaks so softly that even though he sits beside her he can't hear a word.
"Pehele hamari jiju se baat karao phir mein aur Kabir aapki baat choti maa se krwa denge"Aashray said making Iti sigh.
"Jhooth bol rahi h aap! hamesha yahi bolti h ki jiju ghar pr nhi h!raat ko kaha jaatein honge woh?"Aashray said and Kabir nodded his head at that making her roll her eyes at them.
Shiv who heard that stared at her and Iti saw that.
They want to talk to him,interesting 🤔.
She tells them he isn't at home when they ask her to make them talk to him.
"Aap jhooth kyu bolti h unse?"Shiv couldn't help but ask and Iti sighed.
"Hame laga aapko baat nhi krni hogi unse,wese bhi yeh dono bakwas baatein krte rehte h pure din,aapko inhe entertain krne ki zarurat nhi h"Iti said as she kept hand on the phone's speaker.
"Arre pr agar unhe humse baat krni h toh hame kya problem hogi usmein?"Shiv asked and she didn't have any answer to that.
"Accha krwate h hum baat aap dono ki unse,pr sirf 2 min,aur uske baad chup chap jaakr mumma ko phone de dijiye ga aap dono wrna hum buddy se aur papa se complaint kr denge aapki"Iti warned them and the two nodded excitedly.
Iti passed the phone to Shiv and couldn't help but shift a lil closer to listen to their conversation.
"Yeh Aashray h,hamare buddy ke bete h yeh aur yeh Kabir h,hamare chote bhai"Iti said as she pointed out to the two boys who's face could be clearly seen in the video call.
"Buddy?"Shiv asked confused.
"Hamara matlab hamare bade papa ke bete"She said and he understood then.
"Hello jiju!!mein Aashray,aap mujhe Ray bula sakte h,aur yeh Kabir"Aashray still went ahead and introduced the two of them.
Shiv gave them a smile and replied to their hello with a hii.
"Toh aap dono ko humse baat krni thi"Shiv asked and the two nodded their heads at that.
"Haa pr yeh Iti baar baar jhooth bol rahi thi ki aap ghar pr hi nhi h! hamesha kese bahar ho sakte h aap?"Kabir said and Shiv raised his eyebrows at his wife first and then at the two of them.
"Aapki badi behen h woh,aapko unhe naam se nhi bulana chahiye,Didi bolna chahiye na?"Shiv said making them understand as if they were lil kids.
"Unhe bolkr fyada nhi h,yeh dono hame kabhi didi nhi bolte h"Iti said from beside him making him look at her.
"Sirf 7 saal badi h yeh mujhse!aur jiju aap iski side nhi le sakte!aapko hamari team mein aana h!"Aashray said making him chuckle.
"Acha thik h,pr yeh toh bataiye hum team bana kyu rahe h?"Shiv asked.
"Aise hi,masti krne ke liye!aur Iti ko pareshan krne ke liye!"Aashray said.
"Haa iski wajah se ghar mein sab hum dono ko daant te h,aapko bhi shayad daant pad sakti h Iti ki wajah se, isliye better h hum teeno ek team bana le"Kabir said and Shiv smiled hearing that while Iti rolled her eyes at their words.
"Aapko kyu daant padti h inki wajah se?aapki shikayat lagati h kya aapki behen?"Shiv asked and the two nodded their heads at that.
"Ek no. ki complaint box h!aur sab ghar mein isse bht pyaar krte h na isliye hame daan te rehte h iski wajah se!"Aashray.
"Hum complaint nhi krte,aap dono harktein hi aisi krte h ki sabko pata chal jaata h!"Iti said in her defence.
This was the first time Shiv was seeing Iti argue with someone.It felt as if he was seeing a whole different Iti.
"Nhi,aapki wajah se bade papa,papa,dadu,chote dadu,dadi sab hame daant te h!"Kabir too supported his brother.
"Acha bas bht baat kr li aapne inse,ab jaakr mumma ko phone dijiye wrna issbarr sach mein complaint krke daant padwayenge aap dono ko"Iti said and the two rolled their eyes at her words clearly unaffected by them.
"Aapko pata h jiju ek no. ki crybaby h yeh, hamesha jaakr papa ke paas roti rehti h!"Kabir said making Shiv chuckle at that.
Well this just turned interesting for him.
"Kabir chup rahiye!"Iti said.
"Arre bolne dijiye na unhe,baat kr rahe h woh dono humse"Shiv said amusedly and Iti narrowed her eyes at him.
He was enjoying this.
Offcourse he would!
"Aur jiju kuch krti bhi nhi h phir bhi sab iski tariff krte rehte h!jab dekho room mein bethkr books padti rehti h,kuch ghar ka kaam bhi nhi krti,phir bhi sab baised h isko lekr!"Aashray said clearly enjoying teasing his sister too.
Iti wanted this call to end as quickly as possible.
"Acha aisa h"Shiv said.
"Haa,kuch bhi khud se nhi hota h isse!hrr cheez ke liye papa ya mumma ki zarurat padti h isse!"Kabir said.
"Are nhi aisa bhi nhi h ab, aapki behen ne halwa banaya tha khud se aaj"Shuv said and Iti glared at him.
"Aap unhe yeh nhi bata sakte Shiv!"Iti said looking directly at him.
"Pakka bht ghatiya hoga phir toh!aaj tak isne kabhi khud se paani ka glass bhi nhi uthaya h jiju!"Aashray said making Shiv chuckle because it was true the halwa was really horrible.
Iti pouted hearing that.
Even though it was true she felt bad hearing that,she had really put her heart and soul in making that halwa.
"Nhi,acha bana tha"Shiv said making her stare at him immediately.
"Aap aise hi keh rahe ho,aap hame sach bata sakte ho jiju,hum gussa nhi honge aapse"Aashray said making him laugh again.
Iti was quick to snatch the phone from him.
"Bakwas band kijiye aap dono,rukiye abhi papa ko phone lagakr shikayat krte h hum!bht bolne lag gaye h aap dono!"Iti said to them and then ended the call angrily.
Shiv laughed at her reaction and she narrowed her eyes at him.
He was enjoying her misery.
"Kuch zyada hi hasi nhi aa rahi h aapko?"Iti asked making him surprised.
Okay,she can fight too.
"Aap humse jhagda karengi ab iss baat pr?"Shiv asked her and she shook her head in denial at that.
"Hame baat nhi krni h aapse!"Iti said as she got down the bed and went and sat on the diwan placed in the bedroom,a lil away from the bed.
Shiv still laughed making her more irritated.
But her phone flashed with her mother's call and Iti immediately picked it up.
"Kya hua Iti beta?Aashray keh rahe the ki aap naraz ho gayi humne aapka call nhi uthaya isliye,hamare paas phone nhi tha hamara,hum upar chale gaye the kuch kaam krne aur phone neeche hi reh gaya tha,so sorry beta"Her mother's soothing voice reached her ears and Iti smiled hearing that.
"Jhooth bol rahe h woh aapse!hum unn dono se naraz the,Shiv se baat kr rahe the woh dono aur hamare baare mein ulti seedhe baatein bol rahe the unhe,aur Shiv bhi hass rahe the!"Iti complained to her mother making the elderly lady chuckle.
"Aap bhi hass rahi h humpr!"Iti whined.
"Aap pr nhi hass rahe h,inn dono shaitano pr hass rahe h"Her mother said making Iti feel better.
"Acha Kabir bata rahe the ki aapne aaj halwa banaya?kese banaya aapne?aapko toh aata hi nhi"Her mother asked.
"Humne YouTube pr recipe dekhkr banaya"Iti said.
"Kesa bana?"Her mother asked excitedly as it was the first time her daughter had cooked something.
"Bht bura.... humne galti se cheeni ki jagah namak daal diya tha"Iti said biting her lips as she waited for her mother's reaction.
"Aur?"Her mother asked further to know what everyone said to her, afraid that someone might have scolded her daughter.
"Kuch nhi,Nanisa Hukum ne nhi khaya kyuki unhe meetha khana mana h,toh isliye hum bach gaye"Iti said making her mother sigh in relief.
"Aur aapke pati?"Her mother asked and Iti smiled hearing that.
"Unhone 2 katori khayi mumma!ek apni aur ek Nanisa Hukum ki,unhone bacha liya wrna agar Nanisa Hukum ek chamach bhi khaa leti toh pakka bht daant padti hame"Iti shared it with her mother because she had found that gesture too sweet and she had been waiting to tell this to someone.
Growing up she didn't had any friends,neither does she had any now so her mumma and papa have always been her best friends,she shares anything and everything with them but when there are certain things were she needs girl's expert advice she always chooses her mother and so that's why she told her mother this too.
"2 katori?"Her mother's voice held disbelief.
"Haa woh unhone kaha ki thali mein jootha khana nhi rakhte,jesa bhi ho khaa lena chahiye,waste nhi krna chahiye....sacchi bataiye mumma,humne khud taste kiya tha itna ghatiya tha na,pr unhone phir bhi 2 katori khaa li!"Iti said in aww of it but yet surprised at how he did it.
Her mother smiled hearing that.
Thank god her son in law saved her daughter from getting embarrassed.
"Isliye aapse kaha tha kuch toh seekh hi lijiye,dekha aaj kya hua?"Here comes the Indian mother.
"Hume seekhne ki zarurat nhi h,inke yaha bht saare staff ke log h jo khana bana lete h"Iti said in her defence.
"Ab toh pehli rasoi ho gayi mumma,agli baar se hum risk lenge hi nhi khana banane ka"Iti said making her mother sigh.
"Aapko unhe thank you bolna chahiye,unhone aapki beizzati hone se bacha li"Her mother said and Iti nodded her head at that stating she did thanked him for it.
"Acha,suniye aapki Nani ka call aaya tha hame,woh aapko aapke Pati ke saath bula rahi h unse aur aapke nanu se milne ke liye....toh agar Pratap free ho toh aap dono jaiye waha ek baar"Her mother said.
"Ji hum Shiv se baat krte h isbaare mein aur Nani ko bhi batate h hum kab aayenge woh"Iti said and her mother nodded at that.
"Papa kaha h?"Iti asked then and her mother smiled hearing that.
Both the father daughter can't sleep without talking to eachother.
"Rukiye dete h aapko papa ko phone"Her mother said and after a few mins she heard her father.
"Kesi h aap Iti?aapko koi dikkat toh nhi ho rahi h na waha?"Her father's first question was always that since she has come here.
"Hum thik h papa,hame koi problem nhi h yaha......aap bataiye aap kese h?"Iti asked and her father replied that he was fine.
"Aap Kabir aur Aashray ko samjhaiye papa!woh Shiv se baat kr rahe the aur unhe hamare baare mein faltu baatein bata rahe the!hame bht chedte h yeh dono,mumma se baat krni thi hame aur yeh dono jaanbhujkr mumma ka phone lekr hame pareshan kr rahe the!hame baat hi nhi krne de rahe the unse!aur kehte h ki hum kuch nhi kr sakte,sab kaam ke liye hame aapki aur mumma ki help lagti h!"Iti said and her father smiled from the other side.
Shiv who was hearing his wife because she was louder then usual as she complained to her father smiled hearing her.
She indeed was a complaint box who went and uttered everything to her father.
She was a daddy's girl for sure.
"Thik h,hum khayal rakhenge,aap bhi dhyan rakhiyega apna.....good night papa"Iti said and ended the call and sighed.
Her gaze then landed on Shiv who was staring at her only with a smile,for a moment she didn't do anything but then she narrowed her eyes at him.
He was laughing at her with her brothers.
"Aap itni si baat pr humse naraz nhi ho sakti Iti"Shiv said as she settled on her side of the bed.
"Hum naraz nhi h aapse"Iti said making him raise his eyebrows.
"Thik h,pr aapko hasna nhi chahiye tha humpr!"Iti said and he controlled his smile and just nodded at that.
"Hum aapse kuch kahe?"Iti asked and he nodded and gestured her to go ahead.
"Woh hamari Nani aur nanu yahi Udaipur mein rehte h aur woh chahte h ki hum aur aap unse milne jaaye unke ghar.....toh aap chalenge hamare saath?"Iti asked thinking he might not want to come,he was a freaking King after all!
"Hamara bhi birth yahi hua h,hum baadmein Mumbai shift huye the,aisa hamare papa ne kaha tha....aap bataiye na aap aayenge kya?"Iti again asked then and he simply nodded and she smiled then.
"Kab free honge aap?hum unhe bata denge hamare aane ke baare mein"Iti said with a lil excitement in her voice.
It has just been 2 weeks and she was eager to see familiar faces again now.If she can't go see her family she can atleast meet her Nani-Nanu who loved her a lot and vice versa.
"Jab aap kahe hum chal sakte h"Shiv said and she went into a

"Kal sham ko chale?aapka kaam bhi ho jayega tab tak aur hum kal subah Nani ko bata denge"Iti asked and he agreed to whatever she had decided.
"Thank you"Iti said with a smile and he reciprocated it.
